"Ricardo Guthrie was selected to be a Visiting Researcher at UC Santa Barbara's Center for Black Studies Research for 2007-08. He will be focusing his research on Black newspaper publisher Dr. Carlton Goodlett and his newspaper, the San Francisco Sun-Reporter, and preparing a book manuscript and journal articles. He is also working with Prof. George Lipsitz at UCSB on the Center's new ethnic studies journal.
In August, Ricardo was also appointed
to a three-year term to UC San Diego's Board of Overseers.
The UCSD Board of Overseers advises Chancellor Marye Ann
Fox on campus/community issues, policies, and activities."
